Mary Glidewell provides management and oversight for LSC Information Technology. Glidewell holds a BS in Business Administration from the Catawba College, and a Master Degree in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Glidewell has been with LSC since 2002, and previously served as Business Office Manager at Trinity Oaks Health & Rehab, Software Support, Systems Analyst, and Director of Information Technology before being named Chief Information Officer.

Ted W. Goins Jr.
President & Chief Executive Officer
Ted W, Goins, Jr. is president/CEO of Lutheran Services Carolinas, and an advocate for health/human services clients and caregivers. Goins graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University, earned a master’s at Pfeiffer University, and has served through LSC since 1990. He began as a nursing assistant in 1978, was certified for twenty years, and has been a nursing home administrator since 1982. Goins has been active on a number of state/national boards and currently is Chair of the Board of the North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association and board member of Portico Benefit Services.

Myra N. Griffie
Vice President, Child and Family
Myra Griffie was employed with LFS Carolinas in September 2003 and served in multiple roles, including Vice President for Quality and Risk Management, before being named Chief Operating Officer in January 2011. Previous experience includes permanency planning with the Mecklenburg County Youth and Family Services and medical social work with Fresenius Medical Care. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina in 2000.

Courtney Johnson
Vice President, Senior Services
Courtney Johnson provides oversight for LSC senior service operations. Johnson holds a BS and MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of New Hampshire. She is a speech language pathologist and nursing home administrator. Johnson joined LSC in 2013 and served as a nursing home administrator and director of business development before being named Vice President of Senior Services in 2023.

Christina Joyce
Chief Administrative Officer
Christina Joyce leads organization-wide administrative efforts and research projects for LSC. Joyce holds a BS in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from North Carolina State University. Joyce joined LSC in 2007 and served as senior accountant, executive director of Trinity Living Center, director of community based services for Trinity at Home/Trinity Living Center, and director of administration before being named chief administrative officer in 2023.

Mary Beth Lemly
Vice President, Teammate Services
Mary Beth Lemly provides oversight of the new Teammate Services area for Lutheran Services Carolinas. Lemly is a licensed nursing home administrator and assisted living administrator with 30 years experience in long term care management. She also is a North Carolina qualified activity director and a licensed real estate broker. Lemly joined LSC in 2014 as the Executive Director for the Trinity Elms Campus in Clemmons. She moved to the LSC Administrative office in 2021 serving as Operations Coordinator and Director of Strategic Systems before being named Vice President of Teammate Services in 2023.

Kirby Nickerson
Chief Financial Officer
Kirby Nickerson joined LSC in June 2012 as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Since 1995, he has served as CFO for three other healthcare organizations in Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, and has served on the board of various organizations. Nickerson received his MBA from Florida State University and obtained his nursing home administrator’s license in July 2008.

Heidi Rixman
Chief Development Officer
Heidi Rixman provides overall management for all development pursuits for LSC. Rixman graduated with a bachelor of arts in English from Delaware Valley University and a master of science in nonprofit management from Eastern University, both in Pennsylvania. She has been a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 2020. In 2011, she was named Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) New Jersey, Southern Chapter. Rixman is currently the president of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Association of Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE).

Kesha Smith
Chief Operating Officer
Kesha Smith provides management and oversight for all of LSC’s operations. Smith holds a BS in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and a licensed real estate broker. Smith joined LSC in 2003 and served as special projects coordinator, operations coordinator, and chief administrative officer before being named COO in 2013. In addition to other duties, Smith is charged with LSC construction management.
