Trinity Oaks independent living in Salisbury has confirmed that five staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.
“We have been working diligently to prevent COVID transmission and keep our community safe,” said Bill Johnson, executive director of the Trinity Oaks campus. “Trinity Oaks held the line against this virus for five months! We will continue to follow strict infection control guidelines, including wearing the right personal protective equipment.”
“Trinity Oaks has been bracing for the possibility of an outbreak for months,” said Ted Goins, president and CEO of Lutheran Services Carolinas, the parent organization of Trinity Oaks. “Unfortunately, when the virus is spreading in the greater Rowan County community, senior living communities like Trinity Oaks are at risk.
“Citizens of Salisbury and Rowan County can help our residents and our hero teammates,” Goins continued. “Please, please, practice the three Ws: WEAR your mask, WAIT six feet apart, and WASH your hands!”
